Job Description
General Function
The Adjunct Dental Assisting Instructor is a part – time position serving as an adjunct teaching faculty member responsible for instructing students on-campus, in clinical sites, and through other delivery methodologies in accordance with College policy and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in didactic instruction both face-to-face and online.
Participates in development, implementation, evaluation and revision of curriculum as indicated.
Maintain professional competence and environment.
Participate in professional development activities is required.
Work cooperatively with peers while supporting the mission and vision of the College
Adhere to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the College dental assisting program
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Current Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification as a Dental Assistant II with experience in fourhanded dentistry.
Must have proof of instruction in educational theory and methodology principles from a recognized provider or accredited institution.
Five calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a Dental Assistant II.
Preferred Requirements
Teaching experience in a community college
