Administrative assistant for our dental practice: Willing To Train, dental experience is a plus
Our private dental practice is searching for an experienced administrative assistant to work in our administrative dept. We are willing to train the right candidate, so NO DENTAL EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY BUT A PLUS.
Candidates should be able to:
Respect others and have good work ethic
Follow office tasks and policy with good work ethic, responsibility, and professionalism
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Provide polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail
Schedule and confirm appointments, fill in openings in schedule
Be able to learn dental terminology, procedures and tasks
Provide excellent customer service
Be a helpful and positive team player in the workplace with good work ethic
To be successful as an administrative assistant, candidates should be:
- expert multi-tasker
- excellent in communication skills, both verbal and written
- have a positive attitude
- professional, polite, and attentive while also being accurate
-prompt and reliable
- always be prepared and responsive
- willing to meet each challenge directly and be flexible
- comfortable with computers and technology
- a genuine desire to meet the needs and interests of others
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
Handling office tasks, such as filing, making/confirming appointments, calling patients/offices, sending referrals and documents via email/mail, verifying/sending insurance claims/pre-authorizations/appeals
Send statements and recall postcards
Post services and collect payments and provide treatment plans for patients
Provide customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Providing real-time scheduling support by booking and confirm appointments and preventing conflicts and making sure schedule is filled and confirmed for doctor's and hygienists' schedules, fill in openings
Greet and assist patients by checking in and checking out patients
Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
Anticipate the needs of others to ensure their seamless and positive experience.
Prior administrative experience is a MUST ; prior dental experience a PLUS
Excellent computer skills
Attention to detail and be able to problem solve
Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Spreadsheet) and other relevant software and emails, scanners and phones
