Job Summary
Manages and coordinates the daily operations of the dental hygiene clinic. Works with the administrative assistant, faculty, students, and patients to implement dental hygiene instruction and the maintenance of the dental hygiene clinic.
Job Duties:
Quality assurance coordinator who monitors patient surveys and chart audits.
Infection control, monitors faculty and student infection control procedures, tracking any issues that require reporting.
Supervises and tracks sterilization and biological monitoring procedures.
Works with faculty to develop and implement policies and procedures implemented during patient treatment.
Works with the administrative assistant and work-study student to monitor clinic inventory, order supplies, and collect payment from patients.
Liaison with IT and the software company regarding troubleshooting issues with computers and software.
Compliance, works with first and second-year coordinators to monitor student and faculty CPR and immunization records, and accreditation compliance records.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Highschool diploma and three years experience or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree and four years experience or equivalent
Registered Dental Hygienist
Additional Skills Requested:
Knowledge of basic dental office operations, dental equipment use
Knowledge/experience with maintenance of dental equipment.
Digital radiography, dental software (cloud-based, such as Open Dental preferred), patient check-in, scheduling patients, cash-handling, and ordering supplies.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
