Duties
Assist dentist during clinical procedures, including chairside support and instrument handling
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection control standards
Support infection prevention management by following aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures for dental instruments and equipment
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to enhance their understanding of procedures
Qualifications
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental assisting practices
Familiarity with dental software such as Open Dental for medical documentation and patient management
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical confidentiality policies
Knowledge of dental equipment operation, and oral surgery tools
Ability to perform dental sterilization procedures accurately while adhering to infection control standards
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
Certification in dental assisting or relevant healthcare training is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is valued
