Job Description

Advanced Dentistry of Blakeney is a premier fee-for-service dental practice in South Charlotte seeking an exceptional full-time Associate Dentist to join our team.

This is not a corporate position, nor is it a stepping stone to ownership. It is a long-term associateship designed for a relationship-focused dentist who enjoys restorative dentistry, thrives on creating trust with patients, and wants to practice in an established, highly respected office alongside experienced clinicians.

Our practice has been built over decades on exceptional patient experiences, ethical treatment planning, and elite clinical care. Our two senior doctors each have more than 20 years of experience. One doctor’s practice focuses heavily on implant surgery, IV sedation and advanced surgical procedures, while the other has developed an outstanding reputation and is fully Accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. We are looking for a restorative-minded dentist whose strengths complement our existing expertise.

The ideal candidate enjoys building long-term patient relationships, communicates naturally and confidently, excels at helping patients understand their treatment options, and appreciates that outstanding dentistry begins with earning a patient’s trust. This position is best suited for a dentist who wants to build a thriving restorative practice within an established office, with expected average monthly collections in the $70,000–$90,000 range and a competitive compensation model based on a percentage of production.

Responsibilities
Provide examinations and develop thoughtful, patient-centered treatment plans.

Deliver high-quality restorative dentistry, including fillings, crowns, bridges and related procedures.

Diagnose and manage patients presenting with urgent dental needs, emergencies, and same-day appointments.

Convert emergency and urgent-care visits into comprehensive restorative care through excellent communication and relationship-building.

Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term oral health goals in a manner that promotes confidence and strong case acceptance.

Collaborate with two experienced doctors and an exceptional clinical team to deliver a consistently outstanding patient experience.

Maintain the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and clinical excellence.

Ideal Candidate
We are seeking someone who:
Has exceptional interpersonal skills and genuinely enjoys connecting with people.

Is naturally warm, personable, and confident discussing comprehensive treatment recommendations.

Possesses outstanding communication and patient education skills that result in strong case acceptance.

Enjoys restorative dentistry and wants to build a restorative-focused practice.

Is comfortable treating emergency and same-day patients.

Appreciates practicing alongside experienced specialists without feeling the need to perform every procedure personally.

Values collaboration over competition.

Is seeking a long-term associate position rather than a partnership opportunity.

Qualifications
DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.

Active North Carolina dental license (or ability to obtain one).

Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred.

Strong restorative skills and confidence in comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning.

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive compensation calculated as a percentage of production.

Realistic opportunity to produce $70,000–$90,000+ in monthly collections.

Established fee-for-service patient base.

Outstanding clinical support team.

Modern technology and efficient systems including Cerec CAD/CAM restorations, CBCT imaging and the iTero system.

Mentorship and collaboration with experienced doctors in implant surgery, advanced restorative care, and cosmetic dentistry.

Practice environment that prioritizes quality over production quotas and long-term patient relationships over volume.

If you’re an exceptional clinician who believes relationships, trust, and outstanding restorative dentistry are the foundation of a successful career, we’d love to meet you.
