We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Associate Dentist to join our growing practice. In this role, you will diagnose and treat oral health issues, create tailored treatment plans, and perform a wide range of procedures. The ideal candidate possesses excellent chairside manner, a patient-first philosophy, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, continuous oral care.Under indirect supervision or independently, the Associate Dentist diagnoses and treats problems with patient's teeth and oral tissues, and provides patient guidance to prevent future oral problems. The Associate Dentist designs treatment options for patients with other support personnel and serves as expert in preparing dental plans. This position must provide patient and practice support services, including, but not limited to, personal assistance, medical attention, and emotional support. Core ResponsibilitiesClinical Care & ProceduresEssential Functions: Examine patients' mouths to diagnose oral health, training, and treatment needs; provide treatment in accordance with standards of care, including but not limited to:
Visual exams
X‐ray reviews
Removing tooth decay
Filling cavities
Applying sealants
Administering anesthetics
Repairing fractured teeth
Tooth extractions and grafting
Write prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medication, as necessary
Refers to specialists, as needed
Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.
Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.
Patient Relations & Education
Build strong, trusting relationships with patients to ease anxiety and ensure high satisfaction.
Educate patients on preventative oral hygiene, brushing, flossing, and the connection between oral and overall systemic health.
Team Collaboration & Compliance
Collaborate seamlessly with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and front-office administrative staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient dental records and clinical notes.
Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and infection-control regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines).
Participate in staff meetings and continuing education seminars to keep skills current.
Occasionally, travel by car or plane may be required for you to participate in continuing education or seminars.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: DMD or DDS degree from an accredited dental school.
Licensure: Valid and unrestricted state dental license.
Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification.
Skills: Proficient in using modern dental equipment and dental management software.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, empathy, and strong clinical judgment.
Work Location: In person
