Job Description

Associate Dentist – Glencoe Dental Care
Maternity Leave Opportunity with Long-Term Potential
Are you a dentist who genuinely enjoys getting to know your patients, educating them with integrity, and providing comprehensive care at the highest standard?

At Glencoe Dental Care, we are looking for an Associate Dentist to join our team for a maternity leave coverage position, with a strong likelihood of continuing in a long-term part-time capacity following the leave. We are seeking someone available 2–5 days per week, with flexibility in scheduling to find the right fit.

Glencoe Dental Care is a thriving, modern practice rooted in a close-knit community. We believe dentistry is about much more than treating teeth – it is about building trust, improving health, and creating an experience where patients feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for.

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a well-established, busy practice with an existing patient base and a full schedule from day one. The successful candidate can expect to be consistently productive, supported by an experienced team, and surrounded by colleagues who genuinely enjoy collaborating and helping one another succeed.

Our ideal candidate is someone who:
Is an exceptional diagnostician who values thorough examinations and comprehensive treatment planning
Enjoys educating patients and empowering them to make informed decisions about their oral health
Takes pride in building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families
Is comfortable providing care across all stages of life, from children to seniors
Maintains very high clinical standards and a strong commitment to continual growth and excellence
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage the flow of a busy general practice
Is comfortable completing hygiene examinations for 2–3 hygienists daily while maintaining efficiency and exceptional patient care
Communicates clearly, compassionately, and respectfully with both patients and team members
Values collaboration and contributes positively to a supportive team culture
Qualifications:
DDS/DMD degree and eligibility to practice in Ontario
Current registration and good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO)
Proficiency and confidence in all aspects of general dentistry
Comfort treating both pediatric and geriatric populations
Strong diagnostic, communication, and treatment planning skills
Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care
High standards of documentation, compliance, and professionalism
Experience:
Dentists with 2+ years of clinical experience are preferred
New graduates are encouraged to apply if they are eager to learn, receptive to feedback, and committed to practicing comprehensive, relationship-based dentistry at a high level
What We Offer:
A busy, established schedule with immediate opportunity to be productive
A loyal and growing patient base in a welcoming small-town community
A highly skilled, supportive, and collaborative team
Strong mentorship and collegial support from fellow associate dentists
Access to an extensive network of in-house specialists for consultation and interdisciplinary treatment planning
Modern technology and systems designed to support excellent patient care
Schedule flexibility with 2–5 days per week available
A positive practice culture focused on integrity, growth, teamwork, and putting patients first
The opportunity to transition into an ongoing associate role beyond the maternity leave period
If you are passionate about practicing dentistry with excellence, developing lasting relationships, and becoming part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together, we would love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and cover letter outlining your experience and what draws you to community-based comprehensive dentistry.

We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
