Duties
Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions with precision and care
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans
Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients
Administer oral surgeries such as dental extractions and assist with complex procedures like root canal therapy and prosthodontics
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient health and confidentiality
Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures
Utilize medical imaging techniques effectively for diagnosis and treatment planning while understanding relevant anatomy knowledge
Educate patients on oral health best practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness
Skills
Proficiency in using dental software platforms such as Open Dental for record keeping and treatment documentation
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care
Experience in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and general dentistry procedures
Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and other restorative techniques
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and thoroughly
Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in a clinical setting
Ability to interpret medical imaging accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring the confidentiality of medical records and patient information
Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is highly preferred
