We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canal therapy, and dental implants.
Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical and dental histories, performing clinical examinations, and utilizing medical imaging tools.
Diagnose dental conditions accurately using dental terminology and healthcare diagnosis principles; develop effective treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Utilize electronic health record systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for documentation of medical records and treatment notes while maintaining HIPAA compliance and adhering to state healthcare regulations.
Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment during procedures such as oral surgery and prosthodontics.
Communicate clearly with patients about their diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions to foster trust and understanding.
Collaborate with team members on four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques related to pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties to provide the best possible care.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure all treatments are properly recorded in compliance with legal standards.
Participate in dental fabrication processes when necessary for crowns or prostheses; assist with infection control measures and sterilization procedures.
Experience
Proven experience in general dentistry within a busy dental clinic or office setting is required.
Familiarity with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred for efficient patient management.
Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and medical terminology essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, oral surgery, prosthodontics procedures including crowns and bridges, orthodontics basics, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of infection control practices aligned with OSHA standards; ability to implement aseptic techniques effectively.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on their oral health status and treatment options clearly.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws ensures confidentiality and compliance at all times.
Previous experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft enhances workflow efficiency.
