Duties
Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and medical history review, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Deliver a wide range of dental services such as fillings, crowns, root canal therapy, extractions, prosthodontics, and endodontics with precision and care.
Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment options clearly to patients and team members.
Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures to ensure patient safety.
Operate dental imaging equipment accurately for diagnostic purposes while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and medical records management.
Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Document all patient interactions thoroughly in electronic health records.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards related to medical and dental practice standards, including infection control and privacy laws.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health.
Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties to deliver cutting-edge care.
Qualifications
Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as an Associate Dentist.
Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong understanding of dental terminology and clinical procedures.
Proficiency in dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix preferred.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry techniques and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, medical imaging, and anatomy knowledge essential for safe practice.
Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics procedures, and other complex treatments confidently.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and education.
Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times.
