Job Description
Associate Dentist (General or Pediatric), Pediatric Dental Office, Monday through Thursday
Barstow Children's Dentistry is a pediatric dental office in Barstow, California, and we are looking for a caring, skilled Associate Dentist to join our team. We see children from birth through age 18, and we continue caring for our patients with special needs into adulthood, because they need a dental home too.
Our practice is led by a doctor with over twenty years of experience caring for children, and our team takes pride in making every visit feel safe and welcoming for kids and their parents. You will work as an independent doctor with the support of an experienced staff who knows how to help young patients feel at ease. Enjoy a four day work week with Fridays and weekends off.
This role is ideal for a Pediatric Dentist or a General Dentist who enjoys treating children and is comfortable with pediatric behavior management. A California Moderate Sedation Permit is not required, but if you have one, we would love to add in office sedation to the care we offer our patients.
Schedule
Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Compensation
$800 per day guaranteed, or 35% of your monthly collections, whichever is greater. Each month, your daily guarantee ($800 × days worked) is compared to 35% of your collections for that month, and you are paid the higher amount.
Responsibilities
Provide high quality dental care to children, teens, and adults with special needs as an independent practitioner
Perform exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning for pediatric patients
Provide a full range of pediatric procedures, including composite restorations, stainless steel crowns, pulpotomies, extractions, sealants, and space maintainers
Educate parents on preventive care and treatment options in clear, friendly terms
Maintain accurate clinical records in Dentrix
Collaborate with our team to create a positive, kid friendly experience for patients and parents
Opportunity to provide in office moderate sedation for appropriate patients (for permit holders)
Qualifications
DDS or DMD degree
Active California dental license preferred. Out of state dentists who are willing to obtain California licensure before starting are welcome to apply.
Experience as a Pediatric Dentist or General Dentist treating children preferred
Comfort with pediatric procedures and behavior management
Experience with or interest in treating patients with special needs is a plus
California Moderate Sedation Permit with Pediatric Endorsement is a plus, but not required
Dentrix experience is helpful but not required
Strong clinical skills, patience, and a gentle, patient centered approach
If you love working with kids and want consistent weekday hours with competitive, production based pay, we would love to meet you.
To apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter through Indeed. In your cover letter, let us know whether you currently hold a California dental license or are in the process of obtaining one. We look forward to hearing from you!
Pay: $160,000.00 - $385,000.00 per year
Benefits:
Flexible schedule
