Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans
Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options effectively with patients and team members
Execute dental procedures such as root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques
Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
Use dental imaging technology to diagnose conditions accurately and plan appropriate treatments
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure infection control standards are upheld and that all medical records are properly maintained
Skills
Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar systems
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
Experience in pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures
Expertise in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other advanced dental procedures
Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages about their oral health needs and treatment options
