Job Description

ASSOCIATE DENTIST – SCOTIA DENTAL | HALIFAX, NS

Build the Schedule that Aligns | Best in Class Systems & Mentorship

The Opportunity

Scotia Dental is a well-established, people centric, family practice in the heart of Halifax, NS. This is a part-time, Thursday - Saturday role with a dedicated team, a great schedule, and a clinical scope that will genuinely challenge and grow you — from bread-and-butter dentistry all the way to implants, advanced endo, and Invisalign. What makes this opportunity truly rare is who you'd be working alongside.

Meet Dr. Mary-Anne MacDonald

Dr. Mary-Anne MacDonald is a Halifax native with 20 years of experience building one of the city's most respected practices. She has completed advanced studies at the Dawson Center, the Las Vegas Institute, and earned her Diplomate designation from the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. She practices with a whole-human philosophy — with a deep commitment to evidence-based care, restoring function, and creating great, long-term outcomes.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. MacDonald is a Clinical Director of Operations, lead instructor, and co-creator of the Jumpstart Study Club and the New Dentist Study Club — programs that have helped launch the careers of dentists across Canada. She doesn't just practice dentistry. She elevates the people around her.

If you've ever wanted a mentor who has genuinely done it all, this is that opportunity.

Culture & Environment

Scotia Dental is built around a simple belief: science-backed, whole-human care leads to better outcomes — for patients and for the clinicians who treat them. The team is long-tenured, the philosophy is preventative and evidence-driven, and the energy in the clinic reflects a place where people are proud of the quality of care they deliver.

With seven hygienists, a strong online presence, and incredible new patient flow, the infrastructure is already working hard for you. You focus on the dentistry and bringing your best. Everything else is handled.

You're the Right Fit If…

You're a confident communicator who connects naturally with patients

You're inspired by innovation — you want to use technology, not avoid it

You're early in your career and hungry to grow under genuine mentorship

You bring warmth, professionalism, and a growth mindset to everything you do
