Job Description
The team at Thornhill Family Smiles Dental in Thornhill, ON is looking for a passionate, hard-working Associate Dentist general Dentistry on a part-time Maternity leave basis.
The Associate Dentist will provide a full range of dental services with the highest quality of care to ensure our patients have a positive, rewarding experience and leave with a smile. The Ideal Associate for our team and practice is skilled in helping patients feel at ease and comfortable, can clearly communicate with both patients and coworkers, and work independently as needed.
We are seeking a friendly, skilled, and patient-focused Associate Dentist to join our well-established family dental practice for a maternity leave coverage from September 2026 through March 2027.
Our busy family practice has a loyal patient base and a supportive, experienced team dedicated to providing high-quality comprehensive dental care in a welcoming environment.

COMPENSATION:
Associates are compensated on a fee for service basis with remuneration starting from 35% collections and higher
SCHEDULE:
15 hours per week
Mondays 9-6pm Thursdays 9-5pm
Temporary contract Starts September 2026-March 2026
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Program from an accredited school or university program, OR successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) equivalency process.
Registered or in processing of registering with the:
Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario
Eligible to practice dentistry in the province of Ontario
2 year of experience in practicing dentistry is required
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients’ families
