Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive endodontic procedures including root canal treatments, retreatments, and apicoectomies with precision and attention to detail
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop effective treatment plans
Utilize advanced dental technology such as digital radiography and medical imaging tools to support accurate diagnoses
Maintain meticulous medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations for all patient records
Collaborate seamlessly with general dentists and specialists in procedures like dental implants, oral surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatrics, and infection control protocols
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control standards rigorously to ensure patient safety during all procedures
Educate patients on treatment options, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance to foster trust and promote long-term wellness
Skills
Proficiency in endodontic techniques including root canal therapy, re-treatment procedures, and apicoectomies
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes
Experience with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes
Skilled in four-handed dentistry to optimize efficiency during procedures
Familiarity with dental fabrication processes and the use of dental implants or oral surgery tools when necessary
Excellent client communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly and empathetically
Ability to adhere strictly to infection control standards and maintain high levels of aseptic technique throughout all treatments
