Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop tailored treatment plans.
Perform general dentistry procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and prosthodontics.
Manage advanced treatments including root canal therapy, dental extractions, oral surgery, and endodontics.
Utilize dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-treatment care to promote long-term wellness.
Experience
Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery preferred.
Familiarity with dental imaging techniques and anatomy knowledge essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure confidentiality and legal compliance.
Hands-on experience with infection control standards, medical terminology, and medical documentation practices.
Ability to perform dental fabrication procedures including crowns and prostheses with precision.
Prior experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting that emphasizes patient care excellence.
