Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced medical imaging technology.
Deliver high-quality general dentistry treatments such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics with precision and care.
Conduct oral surgery procedures and implement aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards in accordance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Utilize dental practice management software like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize patient comfort and health outcomes.
Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions using clear dental terminology.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare diagnosis protocols and adhere strictly to infection control procedures to safeguard patient safety.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice dentistry with eligibility for licensure renewal.
Proven experience in general dentistry within a dental clinic or dental office setting; familiarity with dental office experience is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for charting and medical records management.
Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, oral surgery techniques, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics, and anesthesiology practices.
Ability to perform dental extractions and other surgical procedures while maintaining aseptic technique standards.
Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and HIPAA compliance regulations.
Skilled in patient care delivery with a focus on patient assessment, diagnosis accuracy, and effective communication using appropriate medical documentation methods.
Additional skills in pediatric dentistry or experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
