Associate General Dentist

Job Summary

Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants.

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using medical imaging technology.

Develop personalized treatment plans based on accurate dental diagnosis and patient needs while explaining procedures clearly to ensure patient understanding.

Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.

Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures.

Communicate effectively with patients to address concerns, educate on oral health practices, and promote ongoing care.

Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry for efficiency and comfort.

Stay current with advancements in general dentistry techniques and materials to provide the highest quality care.

Experience
Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office setting with a strong background in general dentistry procedures.

Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes.

Proficiency with electronic health records systems
Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, oral surgery, prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), pediatric dentistry techniques including pediatric-specific care practices.

Experience in performing dental fabrication tasks such as crowns or dentures is a plus.

Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques required for safe practice environments.

Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and patient privacy.

Must have valid NY license, DEA license, and NPI
