Duties
Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics to restore and maintain oral health.
Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history review, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop personalized treatment plans.
Execute complex dental procedures such as root canal therapy, dental extractions, oral surgery, and prosthodontic restorations with precision and care.
Utilize dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for documentation, treatment planning, and managing patient records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to OSHA standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness.
Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in ongoing education related to pediatric dentistry, endodontics, anesthesiology, medical imaging, and other specialties as needed.
Skills
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes.
Experience in pediatric dentistry and pediatric patient management is highly desirable.
Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics procedures, and oral surgery techniques.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs comprehensively while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a sterile clinical environment.
Familiarity with medical imaging technology for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and medical records management.
Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced dental office environment while maintaining attention to detail.
