Associate General Dentist

Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics
Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose dental conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans in accordance with healthcare diagnosis standards
Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate treatment options and procedures clearly to patients
Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination
Operate dental imaging equipment effectively for diagnostic purposes while adhering to radiation safety guidelines
Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort
Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures, including proficiency in electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
Skills
Extensive knowledge of general dentistry practices combined with specialized skills in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and anesthesiology
Proficiency in using dental software platforms like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging techniques
Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and other complex procedures confidently
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and communicate effectively
Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques aligned with OSHA guidelines
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality of medical records
Experience working within a busy dental office environment or clinic setting that emphasizes teamwork and high-quality patient service
