Associate Dentist
Part-Time With Room to Grow
Marin Dental Implant Center · Downtown Novato, CA
We’re looking for a personable associate dentist who enjoys building patient relationships and wants to grow into a comprehensive clinical role. For 26 years, our private practice has provided cosmetic, implant, and sedation dentistry in downtown Novato. We have a loyal patient base, a small team, and a thoughtful approach to care.
The position starts one day a week on Tuesdays, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Through the remainder of 2026, the day will focus primarily on hygiene and nonsurgical periodontal care, along with exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning. I’ll be present to introduce you to patients and help you learn the practice. We’ll review the schedule together in December, with the goal of adding a second day for comprehensive and restorative dentistry in January 2027, or sooner if patient demand supports it. There is potential for additional days as the role grows.
As your schedule develops, you’ll have the opportunity to provide fillings, crowns, veneers, and other nonsurgical care suited to your training and interests. I’ll continue to perform implant placement, bone grafting, and surgery. As an ABOI Diplomate and AAID Fellow, I welcome collaboration on complex cases and enjoy sharing what I’ve learned over the years.
Our technology includes CBCT, digital and facial scanning, a Shining 3-d intra-oral scanner, Overjet, intraoral cameras, and advanced periodontal equipment (sub/ supra-gingival airflow unit). Our five bright operatories overlook the Novato foothills. The office is an easy reverse commute from San Francisco, with all that Marin has to offer close by.
Requirements
Active, unrestricted California DDS or DMD license.An active California dental license is required. DEA registration is preferred.
A GPR, AEGD, or at least two years of clinical experience is preferred. Current DEA registration if the role includes prescribing controlled substances.
Most of all, we’re looking for someone who is kind, clinically thoughtful, and excited to earn patients’ trust. Insurance participation and the clinical schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
Compensation: The initial Tuesday schedule is expected to pay approximately $700–$800 per day, depending on experience. When restorative days are added, we anticipate an agreed daily minimum or 30% of adjusted production, whichever is greater. Complete terms will be discussed before an offer is made.
