Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate General Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and patient comfort. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed dentist with experience in general dentistry and specialized procedures to contribute to a dynamic team in a well-established clinic.
Duties
Perform a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences, utilizing advanced dental terminology and clinical judgment.
Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques are followed during all procedures to maintain a safe environment.
Educate patients on oral health care, preventive practices, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
Collaborate with team members on complex cases requiring interdisciplinary approaches such as pediatric dentistry or endodontics.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental innovations, materials, and techniques related to general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics and oral surgery.
Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state dental license with the ability to practice general dentistry.
Experience with dental office management software such as Dentrix preferred.
Proven expertise in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics (including root canal therapy), prosthodontics, and dental fabrication is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and HIPAA compliance.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment options clearly.
Ability to perform dental extractions, utilize dental imaging techniques, and apply aseptic techniques confidently.
