Job Summary

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive dental care including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients of all ages.
Perform dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants with precision and care.
Utilize advanced dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to document patient records accurately and efficiently while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, performing clinical examinations, and interpreting medical imaging to develop effective treatment strategies.
Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to all healthcare regulations including OSHA standards.
Communicate clearly with patients about diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care to ensure understanding and comfort.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless workflow during four-handed dentistry procedures and optimize patient experience.
Stay current with the latest developments in general dentistry by participating in continuing education focused on pediatric dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and other specialties as needed.
Prepare detailed medical documentation and dental records following all legal requirements for medical documentation and medical terminology accuracy.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice dentistry as an Associate General Dentist with eligibility for licensure renewal.
Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental diagnosis, client communication, and comprehensive patient care.
Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging techniques, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of dental procedures including extractions, root canals, prosthodontics (crowns & bridges), orthodontics (braces & aligners), oral surgery (including dental implants), endodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex dental terminology clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing medical records management.
Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality.
