Job Description
Associate Dentist — Experienced | Private Practice, Portland OR
Pay: From $600.00/day · 4-day work week, no nights or weekends
Are you an experienced dentist who's tired of feeling like a number in a corporate machine? We're an owner-led private practice, not a DSO — which means your voice actually matters here. You'll diagnose and plan treatment as a valued member of our team, working closely around a shared standard of care we're all proud of. If you feel boxed in, unappreciated, or unheard where you are now, let's talk.
Life Bloom Dental is a systems-run private practice in a great Portland location. We see a mix of PPO and fee-for-service, and we've invested in the technology to support a wide scope of care: digital x-rays and charting, CBCT, and an intraoral scanner. We're also founders of AI-based technologies that streamline documentation and sharpen our clinical workflow — so you can spend less time on busywork and going home on time. We believe the mouth is an integral part of total body wellness, and we educate our patients so they can make informed decisions about their treatment.
What matters most to us is a shared standard of care. We practice with a consistent, comprehensive diagnostic philosophy, because we want every patient to get the same high standard no matter which dentist they see. You'll calibrate closely with Dr. Cho early on, and we'll support you in making that standard your own — it's how we keep our care coherent and our patients confident in us.
We're looking for an experienced associate to start in July at the earliest who brings a strong, well-rounded restorative skillset along with confidence in clear aligners/orthodontics and endodontics, including molar cases. Dr. Cho handles a high volume of implants, surgical extractions, and IV moderate sedation in-house — so you'll have a built-in resource for complex cases and the chance to expand your own surgical scope if you'd like.
What we offer:
A 4-day work week with no nights or weekends
A positive, cohesive team that genuinely likes working together
In-house implant, oral surgery, and IV-sedation expertise — refer complex cases internally instead of sending them out
Modern technology, including pioneering AI-driven tools, and well-run systems so you can focus on dentistry
401(k), health and vision insurance, and professional development support
Compensation is the greater of a daily guarantee ($650/day) or a percentage of your adjusted production — protected on slower days, rewarded as you build
Our core values are compassion, doing the right thing, customer service, being a team player, staying organized and efficient, and humility. What are yours?
Our ideal associate would:
Be an experienced clinician with a broad restorative skillset
Be strong in clear aligners/ortho and endodontics
Practice comprehensive, thorough diagnosis and present complete treatment
Have a happy demeanor and be a genuine team player
Communicate treatment to patients clearly and compassionately
Be open to the oral-systemic connection
Know Open Dental (a plus, not a requirement)
Love what you do
