Airway Health Austin is a fast-growing, airway-centered orthodontic practice in Austin, TX. Founded by Dr. Ameet Trivedi — a general dentist who resolved his own obstructive sleep apnea through palatal expansion — our care model combines palate expansion, orthodontic alignment, and myofunctional therapy, supported by comprehensive workups including CBCT/Ceph imaging and medical-grade at-home sleep testing. Dr. Trivedi educates over 200,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram (@truthdds), and the majority of our patients find us through that content.
The Role
We are looking for a part-time Associate Orthodontist to join our team. Initially, your focus will be on creating treatment plans and supporting case management — work that can begin virtually before transitioning to in-person care. Over time, this role can expand to include TAD placement for candidates who demonstrate aptitude and interest.
Dr. Trivedi leads all patient consultations and treatment presentations, so you can focus on clinical care. Prior airway and sleep experience is a plus, but we will train the right orthodontist in our methodology. What matters most is clinical excellence, sound independent judgment, and a genuine interest in airway health.
Clinical Responsibilities
Treatment planning, staging, and management of adult and pediatric clear aligner cases (Invisalign and in-house systems)
Coordination and management of pediatric palatal expansion (fixed and removable expanders, including Invisalign First and banded expanders)
MARPE and MASPE+ protocol case coordination in collaboration with Dr. Trivedi
Staging clear aligner treatment to work in concert with expander activation schedules and TAD-supported expansion timelines
Managing Esthetic Diastema Control protocols for MASPE cases
Presurgical and postsurgical aligner management for airway-centric orthognathic surgery cases
Interdisciplinary coordination with myofunctional therapists, sleep-focused providers, OMFS, and referring GPs
Active case monitoring, CBCT interpretation, progress tracking, and protocol compliance support
Growth Pathways
TAD / MARPE Training: Surgical placement of TADs and MARPE/MASPE hardware is not required on day one. Candidates who demonstrate clinical aptitude and commitment to our philosophy will receive direct mentorship and in-office certification training from Dr. Trivedi. Progression toward independent MARPE/MASPE case management is an expectation of this role over time.
CO2 Laser Frenectomy: For interested candidates, the practice will provide CO2 laser certification training for lingual and labial frenectomy procedures. This is an optional growth pathway reflecting our commitment to developing well-rounded airway clinicians.
What We're Looking For
Licensed orthodontist in the state of Texas (or eligible)
Clinical excellence and sound independent judgment
Genuine interest in airway health as a root-cause framework
Prior MARPE/MASPE or airway/sleep experience is a strong plus — not required
