Job Overview

Duties
Perform routine and complex dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, and oral surgeries tailored to pediatric patients
Utilize advanced dental software Dentrix to manage patient records efficiently and accurately
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and diagnosis of dental conditions using appropriate medical imaging and dental terminology
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in all procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations
Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to optimize treatment efficiency and patient comfort
Provide education to children and their families on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
Maintain detailed medical documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with healthcare diagnosis standards and medical records regulations
Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure in the state of practice
Proven experience in pediatric dentistry
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques relevant to pediatric care
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to young patients and their families
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare policies ensuring compliance in all aspects of patient care
