Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Periodontist or a new graduate to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide specialized periodontal care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical procedures related to gum health and supporting structures of the teeth. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive periodontal examinations, including patient assessment and medical/dental history review
Diagnose periodontal diseases and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and goals
Perform periodontal surgeries such as gum grafts, pocket reduction procedures, and dental implant placements
Utilize advanced dental technology, including medical imaging and aseptic techniques, to ensure precise procedures
Maintain accurate medical documentation, dental records, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and preventive strategies to promote long-term periodontal health
Experience
Proven experience as a Periodontist or Associate Periodontist in a dental clinic or healthcare setting with a focus on periodontal therapy
Familiarity with dental software Dentrix for charting and record management
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and anatomy relevant to periodontal procedures
Hands-on experience with dental implants, root canal therapy, oral surgery, and other advanced periodontal treatments
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics when necessary
Demonstrated understanding of healthcare diagnosis processes and client communication skills
Experience working within HIPAA guidelines and adhering to state healthcare regulations for medical documentation and patient privacy
