We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual (English/Spanish) Dental Front Desk/Patient Coordinator to join our vibrant dental team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently managing front office operations. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient service. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records management with professionalism and enthusiasm. Your proactive approach will help ensure smooth clinic operations and foster positive patient experiences. Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process
Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft
Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and insurance authorizations
Collect payments and perform medical billing tasks utilizing systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks
Maintain accurate dental and medical records while reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and efficiently
Assist with office management duties such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health information through various EHR systems
Qualifications
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations
Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal abilities
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of protected health information (PHI)
Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills (10 key typing preferred)
