Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly in both English and Spanish, ensuring a welcoming environment from the moment they arrive.

Verify patient insurance coverage through insurance verification processes, including Medicare and other third-party payers.

Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as eclinical.

Collect and process payments, perform medical collections, and handle billing inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.

Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including updating medical records and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with HIPAA regulations.

Assist with medical scheduling, intake procedures, and follow-up appointments to support seamless clinic operations.

Utilize computer skills across Microsoft Office Suite to generate reports, update spreadsheets, and manage office correspondence.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards during all interactions involving patient information.

Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and managing office supplies to maintain an efficient front desk environment.

Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth patient flow and accurate medical billing processes.

Requirements
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is essential; excellent communication skills in both languages are required.

Prior experience working in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is strongly preferred; clinic or dental office experience is a plus.

Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.

Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards, Medicare procedures, and health information management practices.

Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security.

Proven ability in medical billing, insurance verification, documentation review, and medical administrative support tasks.

Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone manner; ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong typing skills (10-key preferred).

Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in filing systems and record keeping.
