Job Description
```Duties:```
-MUST HAVE SOFT SKILLS and PERSONABLE DEMEANOR
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the physician's calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Prepare and process medical documents, such as referrals, prescriptions, and medical reports
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
```Qualifications:```
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical administration is a plus
- Previous experience working as a medical secretary or in a similar administrative role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding principles
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software applications
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and staff members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information
