We are currently seeking a Bilingual Medical Receptionist and multiple openings for our Webster clinic to support our multilingual patient base, which primarily includes English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Mandarin-speaking patients.
Position Overview
The Medical Receptionist plays a critical front-office role by providing excellent patient service and administrative support. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient clinic operations, accurate patient documentation, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors professionally, creating a welcoming clinic environment
Schedule and manage patient appointments, follow-ups, and cancellations
Answer and route incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information
Perform insurance verification and assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
Process patient payments and medical collections when applicable
Maintain accurate patient records within the EHR system (Practice Fusion)
Support billing workflows including CPT and ICD-10 documentation review
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, scanning, and correspondence management
Provide bilingual support to improve patient communication and experience
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a medical administrative role preferred
Experience with EHR systems such as Practice Fusion, Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Meditech preferred
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and HIPAA compliance
Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding processes is a plus
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical environment
Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred (dental office experience also considered)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Bilingual or multilingual candidates strongly preferred (Spanish, Vietnamese, or Mandarin)
