Job Description
Job Summary
Kids Smiles Dentistry is looking for a kind, reliable, and motivated Dental Assistant who enjoys working with children and is also open to helping with front desk duties when needed.
This is a great position for someone who wants to grow in a pediatric dental office and become cross-trained in both clinical assisting and patient care coordination.
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to make children and parents feel comfortable and welcome.
Responsibilities
Clinical dental assisting duties:
Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures
Take X-rays and Do prophy on our young patients
Prepare and clean operatories
Sterilize instruments
Help children feel calm and comfortable during treatment
Support the doctor and team with daily patient flow
Front desk / patient care duties:
Greet patients and parents warmly
Answer phone calls, processing payments
Schedule and Confirm appointments
Help with check-in and check-out
Verify insurances and basic patient information
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within Denticon, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
Spanish-speaking is a MUST!
Dental assisting experience preferred
Pediatric dental experience is a plus
X-ray certification preferred
Must be kind, dependable, organized, and good with children
Must be willing to help both in the back office and front desk
We are willing to train the right person with a great attitude
