Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Bilingual Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive services in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Duties
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and other preventive procedures with precision and care.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations.
Educate patients on proper dental care practices, oral hygiene techniques, and the importance of regular check-ups.
Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate positioning and image quality while adhering to infection prevention protocols.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR/EMR) using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Manage infection control procedures by sterilizing dental equipment, practicing aseptic techniques, and adhering to healthcare infection prevention standards.
Review documentation for accuracy, update medical records regularly, and ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines including HIPAA.
Provide patient care that emphasizes comfort, safety, and education while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Skills
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (or other relevant languages) to facilitate effective communication with diverse patients.
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation.
Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and providing care tailored to children’s needs.
Expertise in chairside assisting techniques including X-ray taking, medical imaging, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA for maintaining patient confidentiality and data security.
Ability to perform patient assessments accurately including vital signs measurement and medical history review.
Knowledge of infection prevention management practices including aseptic technique and sterilization protocols.
Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient education about dental health practices.
Experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with a strong understanding of dental assisting duties.
