Prominent Arlington cardiology/ medical office is seeking an experienced Front Desk/ Medical assistant/ Receptionist. This is a FULL-TIME position with great benefits and opportunity for growth. Individuals must be organized, dependable and possess a warm personality and excellent communication skills. Requires willingness to cross train and be a team player, have the ability to multi-task and function in a fast paced work setting. We have a great bonus system at the end of the year for most valued employee to the practice.
Qualifications
Individuals must be dependable, organized and possess excellent communication skills. Requires willingness to cross train and be a team player, as well as possessing the ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with eclinical or athena is preferred, but willing to train if he/she has prior experience with EMR.
Responsibilities
Warmly welcomes patients, families, and visitors in a courteous, amiable and professional manner.
Proficiently uses Electronic medical records (EMR) system to register new patients, updating existing patient information, including demographics, rendering provider, eligibility, and insurance details, pharmacy preferences and other mandatory fields.
Distributes patient forms and essential documents, meticulously reviewing them to ensure completion of all required fields.
Promptly answers telephone calls, ensuring that all incoming lines are consistently attended.
Confirms patient eligibility and verifies insurance coverage before each scheduled visit.
Collects co-pays or deductibles in advance of the patient’s consultation, adhering to established policies and procedures.
Informs patients of any outstanding balances, as documented in the EMR, collects the due balance, and provides receipts upon successful payments.
Delivers exceptional customer service, adeptly handling patient complaints or escalating issues to the Front Desk representative and or office manager when needed.
Collaborates closely with the Medical and Nursing staff to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.
Offers patients necessary support and guidance as needed.
Upholds consistent organized, tidy and welcoming environment in patient waiting areas, office files and front desk areas throughout the day.
Attends scheduled staff meetings and other relevant meetings as required.
Upholds strict confidentiality regarding all patient reports, ensuring HIPPA compliance.
Assists in the development, coordination and recommendation of process improvements.
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and can do attitude.
Undertakes any other duties as assigned.
Benefits
Salary is commensurate with experience
Pay: 19.00 to 24.00 per hour
