We are seeking a dedicated Casual Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our healthcare team. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in medical office settings who are looking for flexible, part-time employment. Prior experience with electronic medical records and office management systems is highly valued. Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, creating a welcoming environment
Manage multi-line phone systems efficiently, scheduling appointments and answering inquiries
Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as MedAccess
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, verifying patient information and insurance details
Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and document processing
Support the medical team with clerical duties as needed
Ensure the reception area remains organized, clean, and professional at all times
Collaborate with staff to ensure timely patient flow and efficient office operations
Skills
Proficiency in MedAcess Electronic Medical Record software is preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with dental terminology is advantageous
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is highly desirable
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Maintaining professionalism
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Office experience including front desk duties, administrative support, and handling electronic medical records
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
