Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to support various dental procedures while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and sterilization areas in compliance with safety protocols.
Handle administrative tasks such as managing patient records using Maxident.
Take impressions in an efficient manner.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with Maxident software for efficient patient management is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is highly desirable.
Knowledge of orthodontics and implants.
Background in pediatrics is an advantage for working with younger patients.
