We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the dental office, providing exceptional support to both the dental team and patients. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about patient care and has a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during visits.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as ABELdent.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks as needed, including acting as a dental receptionist when required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations, particularly in orthodontics or pediatrics.
Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with CAD is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as ABELdent is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
