Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinical operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Experience with Tracker dental software This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a professional setting committed to excellence in dental health services. Experience with reception is an added bonus.
Students welcome to apply, as long as you are currently enrolled in a Canadian-Accredited dental assistant program.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
Manage patient records accurately using Tracker dental software
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Handle administrative tasks related to patient check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling, functioning as a dental receptionist when needed
Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and infection control protocols
Support the team with general office duties to ensure efficient clinic operations
Requirements
Certification or experience in dental assisting is required; familiarity with CAD systems is a plus
Knowledge of Tracker dental software platform preferred
Experience working with orthodontics, pediatrics, or as a dental receptionist is advantageous
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Prior experience or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
