Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant to support our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations, providing excellent patient care, and assisting with administrative and clinical tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, gaining valuable experience in dental and medical procedures. Prior experience with dental software and terminology is a plus, but we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.Valid First Aid/CPR required
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures as a Dental Receptionist
Manage patient scheduling using dental software such as Abeldent
Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dental team during procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics cases
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical and dental histories, using electronic health records systems
Assist with clinical tasks such as sterilization, instrument preparation, and patient education
Handle administrative duties including billing, insurance verification, and appointment confirmations
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-care instructions
Support the team with general office tasks to ensure efficient workflow
Skills
Proficiency with dental software such as Abeldent is highly desirable
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Experience in dental assisting or related clinical support roles is preferred (minimum 1-2 years)
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
