Job Description
Overview
Our office is growing. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a compassionate individual who is eager to contribute to a positive patient experience and has a strong understanding of dental practices.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Provide chairside assistance, including suctioning, instrument transfer, and patient comfort.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using dental software.
Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental operatory.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care, including insurance verification and processing.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is a must.
Proficient in terminology related to dentistry.
Knowledge of dental software systems.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Certification in Dental Assisting.
