Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient workflow
Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
Manage patient records accurately using Epic and Dentrix software systems
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in compliance with health regulations
Assist with pediatric patients by creating a comfortable experience and explaining procedures in an age-appropriate manner
Support orthodontic procedures by preparing appliances and assisting with adjustments
Qualifications
Certified Dental Assistant with relevant licensure or certification preferred
Proficiency in dental software such as Epic and Dentrix is highly desirable
Experience working with orthodontics, pediatrics, or as a dental receptionist is a plus
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
Familiarity with CAD technology for imaging purposes is advantageous
Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient care approach
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of dental assisting best practices, sterilization protocols, and safety standards
