Job Summary
Our clinic is expanding hours and we would love you to join us! Our Dental Office is hiring a Certified Dental Assistant, where your calm, warm and good natured demeanor will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and clinical care. Your gentle approach and attention to detail will contribute to a smooth-running day focused on comprehensive oral health.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
Manage patient flow efficiently.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Proficiency in dental assisting with a strong understanding of dental terminology.
Familiarity with dental software Tracker is preferred.
Proficient in a second language such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, or Tagalog would be an asset.
Days: Mondays and Wednesdays to start with the potential to add days for the right candidate
