Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations, enhance patient care, and ensure smooth daily practice functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a passion for dental health and patient service to grow within a reputable practice. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology, will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
Assist the clinical staff various procedures, including examinations and orthodontic treatments
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
Take dental radiographs (Pan and Ceph) must be HARP certified
Provide patient education on oral health care
Manage patient records accurately using dental software
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
Skills
Certification as a Dental Assistant with HARP certification
Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and materials considered an asset, but not mandatory
Ability to perform dental assisting duties efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members
