Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient care
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
- Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Knowledge of dental systems and terminology
- Ability to perform patient assessment and take accurate medical histories
- Familiarity with dental assisting procedures, including chairside assisting, instrument passing, and suctioning
- Experience with dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Experience working with Eaglesoft is a plus
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Proficient in medical documentation and recordkeeping
