Certified Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our family dental practice and work 32-34 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, supporting the dental practitioners, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in dental assisting and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health. Experience with dental software such as Abeldent, as well as familiarity with TRIOS intraoral scanner, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontic treatments
Take and develop dental radiographs using digital technology
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Abeldent
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment at all times
Inventory and ordering of dental supplies
Experience
Certified Dental Assistant certification required
Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred
Proficiency with dental software platform like Abeldent is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is essential
Experience working with intraoral scanner systems for imaging or modeling is a plus
Strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control standards, and patient care best practices
