Job Description
We have an immediate need for an exceptional and energetic dental assistant. Come join our team at a one-Doctor-owned general dental practice.
We offer great hours (No Saturdays!) and competitive wages. Our small team is devoted to providing the best dental care possible to our patients and we are looking for the right team member to join our practice.
Full time Position offers: Vacation/Sick Time, Paid Holidays, and Retirement Plan.
Job duties entail but are not limited to:
Greet & establish rapport with patients
Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
Provide intake procedures, including - obtain past and present medical history and record correct information in dental chart
Assist Doctor chair-side in the performance of the treatment needed
Set up instruments, equipment and material needed for procedures
Break down and sterilize operatory after procedures
Take X-rays as needed
Assist in laboratory work
Check inventory and assist with ordering needed supplies
Provide post-operative care instructions
Function as a team member promoting efficiency, professionalism and team effort
Skills:
Strong communication Skills a must,
DANB X-ray & IC certification required
Proven experience as a dental assistant preferred but willing to train the right candidate
Good Computer Skills
Attention to Detail
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Well-organized and reliable
Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
