Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Certified Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment! As a key member of our clinical team, you will assist dentists during procedures, ensure the highest standards of infection control, and provide compassionate support to our patients. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection prevention management protocols
Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery
Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans accurately while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards
Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software
Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care and ensure clinical confidentiality policies are maintained
Process dental instruments according to sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards
Provide excellent patient management by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks efficiently
Qualifications
Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration as required by local regulations
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Curve or Dentrix for efficient patient data management
Strong understanding of infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques
Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus; experience with oral surgery and/or CEREC highly desirable
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about oral health and treatment plans
