Job Description
DENTAL ASSISTANT LEVEL II
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Northbridge Dental is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant Level II with experience in invisalign. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in providing world-class clear aligner treatments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments according to Ontario Public Health Standards and IPAC protocols
Assist dentists during clinical procedures, including Invisalign.
Perform prophylaxis (polishing) and fluoride treatments
Place dental sealants and manage rubber dam isolation (under dentist supervision)
Conduct digital scanning using iTero.
Capture high-quality intraoral photographs for clinical documentation
Educate patients on Invisalign procedures, usage, care, insertion, and removal techniques
Counsel patients on oral hygiene and home care during treatment
Maintain detailed clinical records and digital files in compliance with PIPEDA using PMS
Manage inventory of instruments, materials, and Invisalign supplies
Follow all Ontario infection control protocols and Health Professions Procedural Code standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Dental Assistant Level II registration or certification from a recognized Ontario program (required)
Minimum 2+ years of proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level II
Mandatory: Proven hands-on experience with Invisalign
Strong computer skills and comfort working in a fully digital/paperless office environment
Proficiency with intraoral scanners and digital imaging systems
Experience with dental practice management software (PMS) systems
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new dental technology and software platforms
Strong knowledge of polishing, fluoride applications, and preventive procedures
Excellent patient communication and education skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Current CPR certification (BLS) and have undergone WHMIS & IPAC trainings.
Tech-forward mindset with enthusiasm for digital-first workflows
Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to clinical excellence
Familiarity with Cleardent PMS is an asset
Tuesday to Friday, 4-day work week
