Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Level 2 Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment for children, adolescents and patients with special needs.
Our office is open Monday - Thursday (some Fridays) with no weekends. Wage range is based on experience.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during various procedures
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies
Manage patient records accurately
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices
Utilize your Level 2 skills for recall, prophy and fluoride application
Skills
Proficiency with dental software
Experience is an asset
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages
Knowledge of dental assisting techniques, sterilization procedures, and infection control protocols
HARP certified
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
