Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Dental Assistant Level II to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support the dental practitioners, and ensure smooth clinic operations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Tracker dental software is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to grow professionally within a supportive practice committed to delivering top-quality dental care.
Duties
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding of treatment plans
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
Take dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
Sterilize and organize dental instruments and supplies in compliance with infection control protocols
Manage patient records accurately using electronic health record systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive measures
Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment to uphold safety standards
Experience
Certified Dental Assistant Level II with current licensure or certification
Prior experience in a general dentistry or specialty practice, especially in oral surgery and implants, is preferred
Proficiency with dental software such as Tracker is highly advantageous
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care
Experience assisting with CAD-based procedures is a plus
Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, infection control practices, and patient communication skills
Previous experience working in a fast-paced clinical setting preferred but not required
